As the first media charity of its kind in Scotland, Heart Film have a true passion to create and produce film with stunning attention-to-detail. As a charity, our goal is to help and assist other voluntary organisations in need, therefore there are no production fees or additional costs for your organisation to worry about. We aim to find funding to make your production a reality, helping promote your unique story and principal company values.

In addition, after production completion, we will also offer practical advice and professional support including creative workshops. This will strengthen your charity’s ability to upskill your staff and volunteers as well as further promoting your future services and beneficiaries. The Heart Film team have over 20 -years of practical experiences in commercial film production, charity fundraising as well as in the delivery of creative education packages.



Dee Faulds
Dee Faulds (MA, PG Dip, BA Hons)

Project Co-ordinator – Dee Faulds

Dee Faulds is a professional film-maker, qualified to MA, Postgraduate and BA Hons level. He has successfully produced many varied film productions over the last 12 years including the delivery and facilitation of hundreds of film-making workshops around Scotland. He teaches within a wide range of sectors and challenging environments including schools, hospitals and prisons.

In addition, his aerial videography skills and commercial qualification offer an exciting additional service to Heart Film.

Dee strongly believes in using creative arts as a means of improving and enriching the lives of communities and individuals.

Nik Benstead
Nik Benstead

Treasurer – Nik Benstead

Nik Benstead is an inspiring artist with many years experience in various media including silk painting, jewellery making and glass fusing.

Over the last 20 years Nik has facilitated numerous workshops as well as sucessfully running her own arts retail business.

Niks quick wit, humour and creative energy keeps everyone at Heart Film smiling.

Tony Irwin

Chair – Tony Irwin

Tony Irwin began his IT career over 40 years ago and has seen the transformation of IT from punched cards, paper tape and massive computers that filled rooms through to cloud computing, vast networked systems, and phones with massive computing power!

Tony worked in both private and public sector, in later years managing large projects in the financial services industry. He is an active member of his church, volunteering in their Community Café and played a key role in establishing a food bank in the south side of Glasgow. He enjoys painting, reading, and playing bridge in his leisure time.

Tony’s interest in creativity began in later life after his retirement and he has a strong desire to encourage young people (and older too!) in all areas of creative arts.

Katherine Morrison

Secretary – Katherine Morrison

Katherine Morrison has been actively involved within academia and education for over 40 years after her initial teacher training at Aberdeen University. She spent most of her professional career within private education where she was principally contracted by Glasgow Girls School Company where she taught Physics at Park School Glasgow.

Katherine enjoys various artistic hobbies including landscape poster painting and jigsaw wall décor as well as being an active member of her local ballroom dancing society. Katherine’s wide insight and experience within the education sector is of great assistance to Heart Film.
